About Me
One of the rare first generation farmers in 2022, I got into this field under an interesting set of circumstances. Having just graduated from college and working a 9-5 job in a field that wasn’t utilizing my degree, I felt lost and was searching for something that I could be dedicated and passionate about. My friend had recently started his own freezer beef supply company a year prior and had roughly twenty head of cattle. I saw the success he was having and decided to purchase a couple steers. raising them on his father’s land. That’s when Covid-19 hit. With the onset of the pandemic, people were trying to stock large quantities of food as fast as possible. The large demand allowed for rapid growth for my once two head operation. Buying as many cattle as I possibly could, I found myself two years later, with a group of cattle that had grown over 10x in size. Everything changed in a short period of time. I went from working a 9-5 that I saw no future in, to a rewarding job of running my own beef supply business. Being a farmer is not something that I would’ve ever saw myself doing three years ago, but I sure am happy that I can call myself a farmer today.
